So waking up today was so nice due especially to the fact that the sun was shining brightly. After a week of mostly rain it was sure a nice sight. We were really stretching for activities to do towards the end of the week. Some activities included playing train, Mr. potato head, "Barney"barn (I think we watched Barney's day at the farm way to much), puzzles, carpet picnics, and we even did some potty training. One of our favorite rainy day adventures was when we loaded in the car and went for a ride in the middle of a down pour while we taught Cody "Ring of fire" . So here were the Casperson's cruising down the road singing ring of fire in a flash flood. No worries we did make it home safely. I did however decide that instead of complaining about the rain, since next month I'm sure I'll be complaining about the heat, I would come up with ten reasons of why I loved the rain and this is what I came up with:
1) I was inside with the cutest kid
2) My allergies finally calmed down
3) Our garden is huge (that could be because of the steroids that my mother-in law added)
4) My flowers are doing fabulous
5) Our house was clean, Even the dusting. This is when I know I really accomplished something
6) Our grass is nice and green
7) Our steers have nice feed in the pasture
8) It really was a good excuse to be lazy
9) No need to take the vehicles to the car wash
10) nothing helps a person sleep better than the sound of rain
Yay for rain! It did make everything so green. But, like you, I'm happy to see some sun and stop wearing sweaters.

That was a cute idea. I've been complaining about the fact that the weather just can't make up its mind-it's raining, it's hot, it's cold and raining, etc. That fact, however, was particularly nice up at girls camp. It rained, cooled stuff off, then the sun came up long enough to dry stuff out, then it'd rain again. Oh well, we can't control it so just have fun with it!
